Disappointed. We came here after a recommendation and the pictures online. Needless to say, it's not spacious with cranes strutting around. We rented a cabin for 6 with kitchenette. There was a loud concert going on, and we heard the bass of the band until 11!!! Call it an events center Instead of a campground if you have weddings and concerts and big parties going on! Crowded and too close to other cabins. The queen beds are actually full sized. The inside was clean and neat, but very cramped for space. Absolutely nothing in the kitchen, I wonder why they built cabinets? I was glad I brought salt and pepper, utensils and paper plates. There was not even a garbage can in the kitchen! The 'seating area' was a breakfast table with 2 chairs. So we had to bring in camp chairs just to eat, but couldn't fit all of them so two kids needed to sit on the cooler. The outside was barren, and had no fire pit, no table like I was told over the phone. We had to drive somewhere for dinner, no roasting hot dogs! The outside of the camp made me uneasy, and was packed with wedding guests wandering around and too crowded. Even if we did have a firepit I'd feel weird doing a family campfire 15 ft away from someone else. I should have done a VRBO or something for the price! Felt awful about the price we paid, the extra dinner we bought, and gas to get here. We should have slept in a tent in the backyard!!
My husband and I come here once a year by ourselves, and we try to bring our kids with us once a year. We reserve the cabins which are nice and cozy! I would give this resort 5 stars if the cabins included SOME pans to cook with and utensils. That's why I rent the cabins, so I dont have to worry about things like that.
Rented a cute little cabin for the night. Not a bad amount of space for the price, but we all wished there was a place to hang out inside to escape the cold, but the cabins are essentially just bedroom and bathroom space with a little kitchenette. There is a stove top, but no oven. Beautiful area, but having your camping neighbors essentially in your lap leaves a little to be desired. Also, most of the cupboards and drawers are full of mouse poop, ICK.
Jennie and Shane did a great job of making us feel welcome and Shane ran around and found us a ladder to fix a few rooftop issues. The park is in a great location for fishing. We really needed a few more days to enjoy the area. All the buildings are clean and we'll maintained. The landscaping is a bit rough with dead grass and reclaimed asphalt as gravel. If they could clean up the landscape this would be a 5 star park. The pickles for sale in the little store we're awesome. We would come back knowing it's friendly and at a great location.
Love this spot, we will be going back. Star was fabulous to work with! She gets 10 stars. ;) It is only a 10 minute drive from Heber. We loved all of the different hiking trails along the river and the plentiful wildlife.
